JACK KANE

"You Don't Knock You Just Walk On In"

"Rise Up and Let Your Heart Feel Glad"

I met Bill Craig in London when he came into Bunjies of LEICESTER SQUARE.
I was serving a four year residency on Friday nights that I got from Al Stewart who followed Paul Simon's four years at Bunjies club.

Bill, and his good friend, Ron Rouda, were on the London scene and Bill was in a band called Head, Hands and Feet, being produced by the great Denny Cordell.
We joined together to perform gigs, the most memorable being the night we were at the Arts Lab in Drury Lane. Details are to be found in Bill's excellent book on the period.
Meantime, we found it amusing that Bill's talented brother, Patrick, was playing with my old friend Rex, in sunny California.

When I got back from the UK several years later, Bill and Pat were working with Clyde and Marla in the Fairfax Street Choir and invited me to come to a rehearsal. The rest is history!

"Being on stage with Jack was always a surprise. He was a natural entertainer and somehow he always knew what kind of a crowd he was performing for and knew exactly what to do to get them involved with the music. He was always kind and proved to be a source of positive and inspirational energy to those around him. A superb singer, a fabulous entertainer, a real pleasure to know and to share life and music with". Marla Hunt Hanson
